Tony Paige is the Principal and Co-Founder of Dream Point Sports where he guides the strategic direction of the Football Division and oversees recruiting and representation of NFL athletes. After retiring in 1994 from a highly successful 9-year NFL career as a starting fullback, Paige became an NFL Agent and has now negotiated more than 400 NFL contracts worth close to $1 Billion. In June 2015, Paige helped negotiate a landmark $118 Million extension for Panthers quarterback Cam Newton where Newton’s 3-year payout of $67.6 Million was the largest in NFL history. His start in the business came after a former teammate begged Paige to represent him because he was the only person he could trust...he finally agreed and the rest is history.
An elite veteran in the industry, Paige has dedicated the past several decades of his life to mentoring young men as they navigate the journey from the NCAA to NFL and life after football. His extensive experience and unique insight allow him to advise current and former players on issues both in the locker room and outside of football. Out of 800 certified NFL Agents, Paige is one of only 15 NFL Agents to have played in the NFL – so his unique blueprint truly sets him apart. Prior to founding Dream Point, he was the Executive Vice President at Perennial Sports where he ran the Football Division. Before his tenure at Perennial, he was the Founder, President, and CEO of the sports management firm, Paige & Rice.
Paige’s football career began at powerhouse DeMatha Catholic High School in Maryland, where he would later be elected into the school’s Hall of Fame. He then went on to have a stellar career as a 4-year starter at Virginia Tech. He is considered to be one of the finest blocking and receiving fullbacks to ever play for the Hokies and was also inducted into the school’s Sports Hall of Fame in 1995.
Paige was drafted in the 6th round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. As a rookie starter, he led the Jets in touchdowns. He then went on to play with the Detroit Lions where he teamed up in the backfield with the legendary Barry Sanders. His last stint was with the Miami Dolphins in 1992 where he was the second leading receiver on the team catching passes from Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino. After nine years as a starting fullback, he retired at the age of 30.
Paige resides in Maryland with his wife of over 30 years, Tonya, and two children, Taylor and Tony Jr.
